The Willamette River Preservation Trust has officially adopted the Land Trust Standards and Practices as published by the Land Trust Alliance. These policies help guide organizational procedures, finances and more. You can view the Standards and Practices HERE.

IRS 990 Tax Returns

The Willamette River Preservation Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Annual IRS 990 tax return forms are submitted by all 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, and are provided to the IRS with a deadline of May 15th of each year.

In the case of our Land Trust, the 990 is a great way to get a sense of the Trust’s annual operations, as well as assets. The Trust believes posting these on our web page with the link (see below) provides a solid level of transparency.
