Join us for a Canoe, Kayak, Sup paddle trip from Independence Riverview Park to Salem’s Wallace Marine Park. We will meet at 9:00 am in Independence, unload gear, then run a shuttle to the takeout at Wallace Marine Park. The Trust has several canoes that you can borrow for the trip. Everyone is required to have previous paddling experience on moving water.

This will be a leisurely paddle trip that focuses on enjoying the river, and discussing some of the Trust’s priorities in regard to long-term floodplain protection. You will have a chance to see native birds, floodplain forest, and long-lived freshwater mussels! We will stop for lunch/snacks about midway through (you bring your own), and should make it to the take out about 3:00 if not before. Sign Up HERE!
